jrslbenn: Help, trying to upgrade laptop RAM (Hardware)

Hi, I have a dv9000 HP Pavilion laptop with a measly 1g ram. I need more, so I open my ram compartment up and write down the exact name of the ram : 512 2Rx16 PC2 5300s 555-12-a3.

With all the numbers it is difficult for me to find the right type of ram and be certain it will work, I don't know which numbers are relevant to the ram type. For example does it have to be Rx16 or 555-12-a3? I can understand that 512 2Rx16 is my 2x 512 sticks of ram, PC2 5300 looks like the type and it is most common when searching for new ram. I need to know if it says PC2 5300 will it fit in the laptop.

Will http://cgi.ebay.com/2GB-SODIMM-DDR2-667mhz...tem370068274468 fit? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure3.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="unsure3.gif" />

It says PC2-5300 and looks like what I could use. anyway I am getting pretty redundant at this point. Any help is appreciated

Lets review, I have 512 2Rx16 PC2 5300s 555-12-a3 will anything PC2-5300 fit? Will that linked item fit?

Darylmh: How IP address works (Software)

First off thier are two types of ip address your internal(the one your computer uses to communicate with the router) one and your external one (the one the world sees).

Usually your external ip address changes every day or so as it is allocated by the DNS server.

Its quite long to explain so have a look at this on ip addresses:

What is a IP Address?

How to set up a Static IP

Misc. Portforward Guides

Hope the info thier is useful and if you have any questions just ask <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" />

I found that the GPU fan changes Rpm when i run high graphic applications. 450w may be the issue, the card uses an insane amount of power. Just bougth a 750w Corsair Black, if it works i will let you know and mark *solved*.

The video card is tested on another machine(with 650w), it worked fine:)

Thanks
