I would like to create a system in which one person in my office could manage all of the contacts, but all members of the office could import their Outlook contacts. I would like to have these contacts automatically update to the main computer when each individual edits a contact and also allow each person to decide the amount of information they would like to disclose about a contact. We have access to public folders, but I do not know if that would be an option. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

easiest way off the bat i can think of is to use a http server.

example http://www.dittmerdan.net/address.html

then you just got to hex outlook express and add a link to this html page. or just put a shortcut on desktop. address book.


if not that your going to need a programmer to make you a program to be a server on the main machine that holds the main contact list file up. and embed a client into outlook express and pretty much kill all the old address book. and have his own.

me myself and I would just go with the http server thats free and easy.

you can also put in a submit button on it by using php so people can submit there own. and only one with the priveledge can delete what numbers they want to delete.


i will go ahead and search for you to see if theres already a pre exsisting program to share a outlook express contact list.


edit: i dident find nothing with outlook express. but heres something i found, its a different email client that shares a network client list
