Hello, and thanks in advance. Here my issue, I am using an Acer Aspire 5610 laptop with windows XP. I connect to the internet using a wireless and works fine.

The problem is that I would like to be able to connect to the internet not only through WIFI but also directly with an Ethernet Cable. I heard it could help my ping in games if I connect directly. However, once i connect it doesnt pick up the Internet. Most likely its because im missing the drivers for Ethernet. I switched OS to Windows XP. I cannot find them (I think). I downloaded some things from the ACER site but dont know how to install em and dont know if their the drivers.

If anyone knows where and how to find the drivers for my laptop i would appreciate it. I have an ACER ASPIRE 5610 Laptop with OS Windows XP Professional. Thanks.

I hope it is as simple as this..

You cannot just plug in the ethernet cable to the port and use it just like that,,
You need to plug in the wire. and do the power down procedure...

I will shorten it.. Hope it doesn't bore everyone down.. I been typing the long version in many posts

Off all devices, modem.. etc.
On modem first, wait 30 secs.
then on router,
then on computer..

Tah da... cool3.gif a wired connection..
