Right well im pretty sure youve all heard of antivirus xp, ive had the 2009 version before and i removed it pretty quickly, and now, for some strange reason it has returned! but as the "2010" version.
I looked around, found about a million guides all saying the same thing about deleting registry entries and files, so i go to do all this and.. hold on a minute, where are they? There is nothing to do with antivirus xp 2010 on my pc but it still pops up every 5 seconds and even if i kill the processes, it will still pop up! Ive tried to install malwarebytes but to no avail as everytime i try to run the exe, "antivirus xp 2010" blocks it. I am completely out of ideas, and this thing is really starting to p*ss me off... ANY help will be appreciated regards -------------------- ![]() |

ANY help will be appreciated regards reboot into safe mode. then do 'start'>'run'>and type 'msconfig' then enter ...and use msconfig to disable all startup items. Once that's done, reboot into normal windows and run your favorite anti-malware software. When the malware is removed re enable the startup items using the procedure above. no need to go into safe mode.. Yes, it's a pain but you'll be free of it in an hour This post has been edited by Tropic_Cat: Jan 28 2010, 03:39 PM -------------------- |
