So my wireless isn't working now, last week I had it so that the internet would work and if I downloaded enough it would randomly goto local only in the morning when my downloads were finished (trailing off topic)
SO I will show you my ipconfig statements so you guys can understand but basically, my WiFi when connected goes straight to Connected Local Only, I can see my network name (Which is DLINK) but I obviously have no internet. I have already tried using the diagnose and repair option and using the IPv6 tweak which also didn't work. I am using my iPhones internet at the moment to even be able to post this -_- So I am very irritated. ipconfig /all statement: Microsoft Windows [Version 6.0.6002] Copyright © 2006 Microsoft Corporation. *Forgot* The router is a DLINK DIR-601 I did have it so that the MAC address filter was on but at the moment its an unsecured network.
I am connected via WiFi, no cords or anything. This post has been edited by Uber_Leet: Mar 2 2010, 10:50 AM |

have you tried connecting directly through the ethernet cable to rule out your router?
there have been many people lately with dropped connections, I wonder if Microsoft let out an update that screwed with network settings? go to your network adpater and disable then re-enable it see if that changes anything. also make sure the router wasnt reset some how, check your password. |

Yeah when I connect directly it works, but I have too turn the power off then plug it back in while its connected to my laptop to work. But when I put it in the router, there is no internet coming out from it.
