Hi all. I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit. Over the past couple of weeks my laptop has been freezing to the point where I can't do anything on it. Can't press ctrl+alt+delete or move the mouse pointer and I didn't know why but now I think I've figured out the problem.

I've have a o2 internet dongle for a few months now and it's been working fine ever since I got it but now I think it's what may be causing my computer to freeze. It connects to the internet fine but after about five minuets my whole laptop freezes. I then have to wait for however long it takes for a message to come up saying "o2 connection manager is not responding" then when I close the program, my computer is back to normal.

Does anyone know why my dongle could suddenly be malfunctioning and why it would cause my whole computer to freeze?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, I have this issue as well. This bug occurs with dongles in Windows 7 as well. I believe there is something about the use of drivers between USB storage and the dongle drive.

I am quite sure that one update will soon be out to address that. Meanwhile, I would use a mobile phone as a modem.

Insert the Sim card into the phone and make use of the internet sharing feature and it works well.

Don't bother buying another dongle, I have purchased a prolink dongle to replace the Huawei dongle , and it still freezes.

But both dongle works well in XP .
