Hi I need to buy a laptop and quickly. The prob is I dfont know much about them! The two i am looking at are...
Acer Refurb Aspire 5535 AMD Turion X2 Dual Core 4GB 160GB VHB for £286 and Acer Refurb X3200 Athlon X2 3/640GB VHB for £260 as u may have guessed i am student with no money! I have upto about 330 to spend but then i'll have no change... Any ideas which is best or anything better? Thank you Natalie |

Doing a quick look around between the 2 obvious differences in the choices.
Athlon is a better choice as it is a normal voltage processor. In other words. capable of faster speeds. But draws more power. Thus less battery . Turion is ultra low voltage processors which means more lasting batteries and working time. Both have got similar speed range but I believe athlon is going to be faster. Acer..... Refurb..... equals.... repaired once before.. and that equates to no warranty.. And means, it has died before. I suggest you put your money into other choices. Look around and if you alternative choices within your budget. Then post back with links to see if anyone is free to advise. I know you may want me to suggest.. But it is better you do some window shopping around and paste the choices that catch your eye. Then I advise.. It is your laptop.. Not mine.. -------------------- My website|I recommend Windows 7 |Solved cases Archive

Not to add to the already heavy Acer doomsday wagon however i have had to repair Acer laptops in my time and they come to me with horrific problems like exploding graphics cards,Melted motherboards and Fried CPU's so i would reccommend going with a slightly less erm...Awful brand!
I personally use HP laptops but be careful of the pavilion range as about 15% of them have a manufacturing fault involving some more melting parts(Namely nvidia graphic cards) -------------------- May i remind you that i take no responsibility for any injuries/deaths that may occour from the above post.
I dont use hard drives,i just have 35 chinease teenagers in my basement and i force them to memorize numbers. Email me @ Ma email Add me on steam @ Alex4921 Add me on Xbox Live @ "Alex B Cant Die" Add me on MSN if you really want and don't have steam cause i never go on MSN and never check the emails on there @ Here Did a solution i posted worked? Did i managed to brick your computer? Well then post back and tell me so i know for next time ! |

You want to buy a laptop, then Configuration of the laptop will depend on your work.If you are a student then cheap configuration is sufficient.
Dual core processor has not fast speed but for student it's sufficient if there are small traffic or less data load. -------------------- |
